We are seeking an experienced Neurology Specialist to work in our multi-disciplinary referral service. This will be a permanent, full time position. The successful applicant will hold, or be eligible to sit, a European Diploma (or equivalent), have had significant exposure to neurosurgery, and share our aim of providing the best possible level of care for clients, their pets and for referring veterinary surgeons.
You will have an excellent team of support staff who will give you the opportunity to concentrate on your clinical caseload and to work in a pleasant, supportive and good humoured atmosphere. Facilities include a superbly equipped intensive care unit and wards, including an iCatCare accredited cat-friendly cat ward. In-patient care is a priority and includes 24 hour veterinary and nursing attention, with support from dedicated high dependency nurses and experienced interns. Our all-new diagnostic imaging equipment and team of Board Certified Imaging Specialists, will provide unsurpassed diagnostic imaging support to all our clinicians.
As part of a truly multi-disciplinary team, you will work alongside other specialists in the disciplines of soft tissue surgery, oncology, neurology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, imaging and anaesthesia, and our philosophy is very much one of friendly co-operation between clinicians in every specialism. As with all our disciplines, the post will include out-of-hours emergency service provision, shared amongst the neurology team.
This position will be well remunerated, and the package includes 6 weeks paid holiday plus bank holidays and 5 days of funded CPD each year, 5 days for approved committee or examining commitments, a workplace pension and apply for private healthcare.
