Elliot Smith

Elliot graduated from Liverpool Veterinary School in 2008 and has over a decade of experience in equine practice, working across ambulatory practice, hospital settings and academia. During this time, he developed a particular interest in equine medicine and gained a Certificate in Advanced Equine Practice.

Alongside his veterinary career, Elliot has a keen interest in animal behaviour. He completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Animal Behaviour in 2021, graduating with distinction, and subsequently worked within a specialist-led veterinary behaviour practice, where he gained extensive experience in the field.

Elliot joined Paragon Referrals in 2023 as Business Relationship Manager and, following a period in the same role at another specialist referral hospital, has now returned to the Paragon team.

In his role, Elliot works closely with referring practices, providing support with referrals and helping to build strong relationships with the practices Paragon works with. He spends much of his time visiting referring practices and is passionate about veterinary education, particularly organising CPD events that showcase the breadth of expertise and knowledge within the Paragon team.

Outside of work, Elliot enjoys exploring the world and going for walks with his Italian Greyhound. He is also the proud owner of three very cute guinea pigs, who regularly make appearances on social media.
