Diabetes Day at the Hepworth
Thursday 23rd May 2024, 9am - 5pm
Join us for a full day of diabetes CPD designed specifically for small animal vets (also suited to nurses with an interest in diabetes), aimed at enhancing your knowledge and confidence in diabetic care. Taking place at the beautiful Hepworth Gallery in Wakefield on the 23rd of May, you will have time to view the fabulous gallery and gardens when we break for lunch.
Our medicine and ECC team at Paragon Veterinary Referrals, will present the latest research and advice on diabetes mellitus in dogs and cats and cover points such as:
- Optimising treatment for an individual patient
- Insulin choice
- Oral hypoglycaemic agents (including the newly licenced SGLT-2 inhibitor, Senvelgo)
- How to monitor patients (including interstitial monitoring) and make changes
- Dealing with DKA
- Complex cases, including concurrent illnesses, insulin resistance and managing complications.
