Sophie Adamantos

Clinical Director

After graduating from university, Sophie worked at the Animal Health Trust and The Royal Veterinary College where she completed a residency in Emergency and Critical Care and was awarded the American Diploma of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care.  Sophie was the first RCVS Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care and is a Founding member of the European College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care and Chair of their Education Committee.

Prior to joining Paragon Veterinary Referrals, Sophie worked at Langford Vets where she developed the ICU into a first class unit and created the first Postgraduate Diploma awarding internship in the UK.  Clinically Sophie enjoys the challenge of haematological cases such as anaemia and bleeding disorders, transfusion medicine and investigation of the acutely unwell patient.

Her passion outside of the clinic is teamwork and empowering staff to achieve the best for their patients through lifelong career development and practical application of evidence based medicine.
