Pricing and payment options
For full details of our consultation fees, please contact reception. If you require an indication of cost prior to your pet’s consultation, we will generally refer your query to a veterinary surgeon in the relevant department, which means a member of the team may need to call you back with the information.
When you register with us, you agree to settle your account after the initial consultation or when you are reunited with your companion animal. We are not able to offer treatment until you sign the registration and consent forms.
At your initial consultation, the vet will provide an estimate of further costs, before you decide whether or not to go ahead with recommended investigations and/or treatment.
Our receptionists will be happy to assist if you have any queries, and you can ask for the current total of your bill at any time. We reserve the right to request part payment during extended stays and may ask for part payment of the estimated costs on admission.
Cash, BACs and major credit/debit cards are accepted. Please note, we do not accept American Express, Solo or Diners cards.
There are hundreds of pet insurance policies and all are different. If you have pet insurance, we can help you process your claim. Please bear in mind, we do not have a contract with your insurance company or the resources to deal with them, and they are not obliged to speak to or pay us, only you.
If you are worried about the cost of referral, but have adequate insurance cover, please call and speak to one of our administrative staff about the possibility of making a direct claim. We will need to pre-authorise treatment, and direct claim authorisation may take several days to confirm. This must be arranged before treatment goes ahead. Please note, we cannot authorise a direct claim once treatment has commenced.
If we have agreed to a direct claim, please be aware that you are responsible for any outstanding costs should your insurance company decline payment or make any deductions.
An administration fee is chargeable for each insurance claim processed, payable at the time of each visit. If you require further information regarding this, our administration team will be happy to assist.
Some insurance companies require pre-authorisation prior to treatment, whether you make a direct claim or not. Please make sure you read your policy information fully before attending an appointment.
